Our purpose was to build a stage which creates audience admiration and forwards the message of the event. Following the design, we cut interconnecting triangles as the main geometric pattern. Each aspect of this stage required a construction with lightweight, internally lit parts with a look that can be fast and easily changed out during the event to give the right look to the different presentations.
Continue readingThe bioLogic team explored how bacterial properties can be applied to fabric and formed into living interfaces between body and environment. They found novel means of using Natto bacteria, which move in response to changes in humidity. The team harvested Natto cells and applied them to fabric with custom 3D printers.The cell-infused fabric was used to make sport garments. As the fabric reacts to perspiration, tiny vents over the body's heat zones open and close, allowing for instant cooling. In fall 2015, the suits featured in a live ballet performance.
Continue readingThe basic concept of the IDs is exiting and breathtaking travelling through space-time portals. Camera flies through the energy field, historical era changes or viewer gets in a dimension filled with objects according to the theme of the ID. External surface of the circle is the portal, which is covered by symbols from different historical eras. And the Cyrillic letter inside rotates like a pointer on clocks. Textures, historical objects and locations - everything looks extremely realistic, like live shooting.
Continue readingSt. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow, Eiffel tower in Paris, Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and Akshardham – Hindu temple complex in New Delhi were chosen for the ID of educational TV spot of the Russian “History” channel. People that are fond of history can discover a lot of exiting facts in the runtime of one minute, while the TV spot runs. For additional historical associations, a zeppelin and an ancient ship were added in the ID.
Continue readingDrugo is a short animated film that offers an allegorical take on 40 years of worldwide “war on drugs”. The spot is part of an international campaign by The Global Commission on Drug Policy, which aims to foster a broader discussion about drug policy reform. The art direction, though heavily based on medieval imagery, also incorporates a few contemporary references like helicopters and modern-day favelas, which together with the archetypical language of the fairy tale imparts an atemporal feeling that echoes the convoluted, centuries-old relationship between humankind and recreational
Continue readingThis Smart Buckle is specially designed for the users who want to wear their traditional watch, but also want to have some smart function for their daily usage. It is equipped with G-sensor and bluetooth module, via the phone application, it can be performed as pedometer, calories calculation, sleep condition monitoring, etc. One extra feature is the SOS function. The user can press the button of the buckle for 3 times when in emergency, it will activate the phone to send the user's location and preset message to a user's friend or an important person, in order to ask for help.
